Boox is an Android-based E-reader on which users can install apps. There are many apps compatible with E-ink devices and in term of our statistics, the 5 most frequently used apps on Boox are the Kindle, Google Drive, OneNote, Microsoft Word and Chrome.

(1) Kindle

Unsurprisingly, the Kindle app dominates on E-readers. Users are able to view tons of different kinds of ebooks at fingertips. Also, users can easily read free ebooks, shop for ebooks, and sync ebooks between Android, PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and of course, any Android devices. The optimization of the Kindle app on Boox must be first consideration after every upgrade, which makes sure users have a great experience on reading.

(2) Google Drive

E-reader users usually need to store and access some important files from different devices and anywhere. With Google Drive, users can easily do that and share files and folders with others. The Google Drive works perfectly on Boox just like on any Android device. Users could download their ebooks and other types of documents can be run on Boox.

(3) Microsoft OneNote

As we could see, there are so many people using Microsoft OneNote since it is pretty a useful app. OneNote is a program for free-form information gathering and multi-user collaboration. It gathers users’ handwriting or typed notes, drawings, screen clippings and audio commentaries. Notes can be shared with other OneNote users over the Internet or a network. Most of the OneNote functions work fine on Boox but the writing function is not that smooth enough. Boox will make more effort to improve the app optimization on E-ink device.

(4) Microsoft Word

Everyone uses or ever used Microsoft Word in the world. It is unnecessary to introduce such a well-known app in details. To run the Word on Max 2 used as a secondary monitor is highly recommended if you often do typing for a long time.

(5) Google Chrome

Both Google and Microsoft are great companies. We always use their products. Google Chrome is one of them. It is a cross-platform web browser for Microsoft Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android. It is not bad to read news, magazines or some other text materials with Chrome Browser on Boox.

There are still many apps are popular like Scribd, MoonReader, Xodo. If you find the performance of apps are not ideal, please long press the app and click “optimize” to adjust its parameters, see whether it can be better.
